COMMUNITY SERVICES
The community development committees, community care committees and the Comhchoiste Ghaeltacht Uíbh Ráthaigh provide a wide range of community services in the area in partnership with each other and with the support of Údarás na Gaeltachta, Solas and Pobal.
We are grateful to Údarás na Gaeltachta, Pobal (RSS & CSP), Solas (SFP), and the Department of Social Protection who greatly support us in this work on an ongoing basis.
The following is a taster of these community services….
Meals on Wheels are available in Caherdaniel on Tuesday and Friday and in Ballinskelligs on Monday and Thursday. The Glen on Tuesday, Dromid on Thursdays, and in Waterville on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Laundry operates a daily service at the Glen, Ballinskelligs, Waterville, Dromid
Home Visits visiting Home visiting the elderly in most areas
Small maintenance jobs are undertaken by SST staff, based on a needs basis. PHN and approved by the Scheme Committee before the work can be done.

Adult Services booklet March 2018 is the information booklet we first developed in 2011 to help elderly people in the area and family carers. The current version downloadable was compiled in March 2018.
