One of the Comhchoiste Ghaeltacht Uíbh Ráthaigh main aims is to preserve the environment in the area and to share information with the people of the area on good environmental practice.

However, we are always trying to act on our words and we have taken some appropriate steps over the years to achieve this!

We use a 'geothermal' heating system in the central office centre. We are running an energy conservation campaign with our office staff. We have been growing Miscanthus trial patches since 2009.

We hold regular public information sessions on environmental and energy issues
